Mint Chocolate cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg chocolate cake
  • Frosting
  • 1/2 c butter, softened
  • 2 c confectioners sugar
  • 1 T water
  • 1/2 t peppermint extract
  • 3 drops green food coloring
  • Topping
  • 1 1/2 c chocolate chips
  • 6 T butter
  • 1/4 t Peppermint extract

Directions

  1. Prepare cake as directed.

  2. In mixing bowl, combine frosting ingredients until smooth.

  3. Spread over cooled cake.

  4. In microwave bowl, make topping by melting chocolate and butter. Stir in extract. Carefully and evenly, spread Topping over frosting.
