Banana Cake

Ingredients

  • For Cake:
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 t. soda
  • 1/2 t. baking powder
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 cup sour milk
  • 1 cup bananas
  • For Frosting:
  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • 1 large egg
  • Few drops milk
  • Some vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Cream margarine and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Measure dry ingredients together. Mix sour milk and mashed bananas. Add dry ingredients and banana mixture alternately to the creamed ingredients.

  2. Bake in a 9×13 cake pan at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

  3. For frosting: mix margarine, egg, milk and vanilla. Add powdered sugar until desired consistency for spreading.
