Pear Ginger Toddies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pear nectar
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon grated fresh nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 3 ounces spiced rum

Directions

  1. Combine pear nectar, cloves, ginger, nutmeg, and syrup in a saucepan; bring to a simmer over med-high heat.

  2. Decrease heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Remove from heat; pour into 4 Irish coffee glasses, and add ¾ ounce of rum to each glass.

  4. Remove the cloves; garnish with candied ginger skewers, and serve.
