Peel and Eat Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 4 (12 ounce) cans beer (lighter beer, rather than ale or dark beer)
  • 1/2 cup Old Bay Seasoning
  • 4 lemons, quartered
  • 5 lbs large shrimp

Directions

  1. Add beer to a 10-quart stockpot; add in Old Bay.

  2. Squeeze the juice from the lemons into the pot, add the rinds, and stir to blend.

  3. Bring to a boil; add in shrimp.

  4. Cover the pot, return to a boil, and remove from the heat.

  5. Let shrimp sit in the beer for another 10 minutes.

  6. Drain shrimp and serve.

  7. **You can let shrimp cool, place in zip-lock plastic bags, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before serving cold, if you desire.
