Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 1/2 Tbsp cocoa
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- (buttermilk substitute: 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 Tbsp vinegar - let sit for 5 mins)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 eggs
- Icing:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 1/2 Tbsp cocoa
- 6 Tbsp buttermilk
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Directions

Stir in sugar and flour together. Boil together the water, salt, cocoa and butter. Pour into the sugar and flour mixture. Add buttermilk, vanilla, soda, and eggs. Mix well. Pour into a greased cookie sheet with rim 17×12 size. Bake 15-20 mins.

For icing: Boil butter, cocoa, and buttermilk. remove from heat and add sugar and vanilla. Spread over cake while it is still warm.
