Peppermint Torte

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup chocolate fudge topping
  • 3.5 cups Peppermint flavored Ice Cream, softened
  • 1/4 cup chopped peppermint candies

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Prepare cake batter according to package directions.

  3. Pour batter into rimmed cookie sheet or jelly roll pan lined with wax paper.

  4. Bake 15-20 minutes.

  5. Cool completely.

  6. Cut lengthwise into 3 even pieces.

  7. Warm fudge topping in microwave 1 minute. Spread fudge over top of each cake piece.

  8. Spread softened ice cream over 2 cake pieces.

  9. Stack cake and ice cream layers one on top of another.

  10. Place remaining cake piece on top.

  11. Carefully wrap torte in plastic wrap and freeze 1 hour.

  12. Garnish with chopped peppermint candies
