White and Dark Chocolate Curls

To use as a garnish on something divine

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp. solid vegetable shortening
  • and
  • 3 ounce bar white chocolate
  • 1 tbsp. solid vegetable shortening

Directions

  1. In small heavy saucepan over very low heat, stir chocolate and shortening until melted and smooth. Pour mixutre into small square plastic container. Freeze 30 minutes until firm. Remove blocks of chocolate from containers; let soften slightly. Using cheese slicer or vegetable peeler, scrape across surface of each block to make curls.
