Mexican Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups River Brand Rice
  • 2 tsp oil
  • Brown rice over medium heat until golden brown
  • Add 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • Sauté then remove from heat
  • Add 1 can tomatoes (squish tomatoes in hand) into pan
  • Add 5 cups water
  • 4 tablespoons chicken soup powder
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro
  • garlic powder

Directions

  1. turn heat on to boil in pan,

  2. then lower to medium boil until water evaporates.

  3. DO NOT STIR, DO NOT TOUCH AT ALL UNTIL ALL WATER IS ABSORBED
