Carmel Corn

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 5-6 quarts plain popcorn

Directions

  1. Pop plain popcorn.

  2. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

  3. Bring the brown sugar, butter and syrup to a boil for 5 minutes.

  4. While above mixture is boiling add the vanilla, salt and baking soda.

  5. Pour mixture over the popped plain corn.

  6. Place in a roaster and bake for 40 minutes.

  7. Stir 3-4 times.

  8. Spread carmel corn on wax paper to cool.
