Baked Mac n Cheese

Cook time: 15 minutes
Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 1 C. dry pasta-cooked
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/8 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 C milk
  • 1/2 C cream or half n half
  • 1 C shredded cheddar

Directions

  1. Cook pasta per box, drain

  2. In a small pot, cook butter and flour until smooth and bubbly

  3. Add milk and cream, whisk

  4. Add all spices, whisk

  5. When mixture starts to thicken, add cheese

  6. Cook until melted and smooth

  7. Add pasta

  8. Pour into buttered 8×8 dish and bake @ 350 until bubbly.

  9. Prior to baking, you can add more cheese on top or 1 cup breadcrumbs tossed in 1 Tbsp melted butter.

  10. Variations:

  11. Use a mix of cheeses like Boursin, Parm, Bleu, or even cream cheese.

  12. Add veggies and/or meat (ham, salami, chic)
