Chili

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can pinto beans, drained
  • 3 c water
  • 1/2 small can tomato paste
  • 1/2 c minced onion
  • 1 1/2 t chili powder
  • 1 T minced garlic
  • 1 t cumin
  • 1 t celery salt
  • 1 t pepper
  • 1/4 cayenne
  • 1/2 c crumbed corn chips (plain Doritos or Fritos)

Directions

  1. Brown ground beef with onions and garlic

  2. Add meat to sauce pan with remaining ingredients up to corn chips

  3. Bring to boil

  4. Use a food processor or blender to crumb chips into a fine meal consistency

  5. Add chips to chili to thicken

  6. Adjust salt/pepper to taste

  7. Can be transferred to crock pot to simmer, if you like.
