Easy Strawberry Trifle

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf prepared angel food cake
  • 1 quart strawberries
  • 2 3 1/2-oz. boxes instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 T. unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Directions

  1. Tear one half a cake into chunks. Place in large glass bowl or mold. Slice strawberries and sweeten slightly with sugar. Put strawberries over the layer of cake pieces. Cover cake with 1/4 more of cake, torn into pieces (only 3/4 of cake will be used). Mix pudding according to package directions. Soften gelatin in cold water and add to pudding. Pour this mixture over the crumbled cake and strawberries.

  2. Chill until pudding is set.
