Italian Beef Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • French rolls
  • Swiss cheese slices
  • 1 chuck roast
  • season with garlic salt, salt and pepper
  • cover and cook for 5 hours at 250 degrees.
  • Shred meat
  • Add:
  • 1 tsp. sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp.anise seed
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 bell pepper

Directions

  1. Cover again and reheat for about 1 hour.

  2. Line inside of french rolls with swiss cheese.

  3. This helps keep the bread from getting soggy.

  4. Apply meat to roll and wrap each sandwich in aluminum foil and return to oven until cheese is melted and sandwich is hot, approximately 15 min.

  5. You can substitute cheeses but I believe the swiss is the best.
