Chicken and Wild Rice Salad

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • Dressing:
  • 1/2 cup mayo or Miracle Whip
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp marjoram leaves, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • Salad:
  • 3 cups wild rice, cooked and chilled
  • 2 cups chicken, cooked and cubed
  • 1/2 cup celery, sliced
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted

Directions

  1. In small bowl, combine dressing ingredients; set aside.

  2. In large bowl, combine salad ingredients. Add dressing and toss gently.

  3. Cover and refrigerate 2-3 hours. Garnish with toasted almonds.
