Toffee

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 Tbsp water
  • 2 Tbsp corn syrup
  • salt, pinch
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 8-oz. chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped

Directions

  1. Bring first five ingredients to “hard crack” stage on candy thermometer. Then immediately remove from heat and add 1 tsp vanilla. Pour out onto buttered cookie sheet. Top with 8-oz. chocolate chips. Spread and top with nuts.
