Sausage and Egg Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 6 slices white bread (crusts removed)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)

Directions

  1. Cut bread into 1/2 inch cubes.

  2. In a skillet, brown and crumble sausage; drain and set aside.

  3. In large bowl, beat eggs; add milk, salt and mustard.

  4. Stir in bread cubes, cheese, and sausage.

  5. Pour into greased baking dish.

  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

  7. Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 40 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
