Shortbread

Authentic Scottish shortbread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 oz. butter

Directions

  1. Line 8-inch pie pan with waxed paper.

  2. Mix flour and sugar; add butter. Break up into course crumbs. Pack crumbly mixture into pan. Pinch edges, prick with fork.

  3. Bake 40-55 minutes till brown. Cut while still hot.
