Ingredients
- 2-1/4 cups flour
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 3-1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1-1/4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup shortening (or use half-butter)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 eggs

at oven to 350. Grease and flour pans. Beat all ingredients on low speed 30 seconds, then on high 3 minutes.

Bake rectangle 40-45 minutes, 9-inch rounds 30-35 minutes, 8-inch rounds 20-25 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean in center.
