Skillet Cheeseburger Pasta

I have adapted this recipe from the soup can. I always add onion, garlic and tomatoes, if applicable. You can also use tomato soup instead of the consommé to make it more like a goulash.

Ingredients

  • 1 T. oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 1 can Beef Consommé
  • 1 1/2 C. water
  • 2 C. uncooked elbow pasta

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sauté the onion and garlic in the oil. Add the beef and cook until well browned, stirring often to separate meat.

  2. Stir the tomatoes, soups, water and pasta in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to simmer. Cook for 10 minutes or until the pasta is tender, stirring often.
