Bread Sticks

Simple way to serve bread in a different way

Serves 8 people

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

  1. Heat over to 450 degrees. Melt butter in oblong pan. Remove from oven as soon as butter is meilter. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Add milk, stir slowly until dough begins to cling together. Turn onto well floured board. Kneed lightly about 10 tomes.. Roll out to 1/2 " thick rectangle. Cut dough in half lengthwise, then crosswise into 8 strips with a floured knife. dip each strip on both sides 8in butter and lay close together in rows in the pan. Bake 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Makes about 16
