Teriyaki Sauce

  • 1 c low sodium soy sauce (can use regular, it'll just be saltier)
  • 4 t sesame oil
  • 1 c pineapple juice (I used from a can of chunks)
  • 4 T honey
  • 1 t ground ginger or 2 T fresh grated
  • 4 t minced garlic
  • 1/4 c cold water
  • 1 T corn starch
  • Can add 2 t sesame seeds, 1/2 t red pepper flakes, some extra sweetener (brown sugar) a little at a time to reach desired flavor


  1. Put all but last 2 ingredients in sauce pan

  2. Whisk as you bring to a boil

  3. Mix cold water and corn starch together in small dish

  4. Whisk corn starch mix into pan to thicken
