Baked French Toast

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf french bread
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 T. cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 t. salt

Directions

  1. Slice bread into thick, 1 1/2" slices.

  2. Pour butter in 9×13 or jelly roll pan. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over butter.

  3. Beat eggs in bowl, adding milk and salt. Dip bread in egg mixture coating both sides of bread and place over sugar mixture in pan. Do not flip bread in pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minute. Serve sugar side up.
