Skillet Chili Mac

Ingredients

  • 1 T. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 C. chopped onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 1 can kidney beans, un-drained
  • 1 16 ounce tomato sauce
  • 1 C. water
  • 1 t. chili powder
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 C. shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, sauté onion and garlic; add ground beef and brown.

  2. Add macaroni, kidney beans, tomato sauce, water, chili powder, and salt. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until macaroni is done.

  3. Add 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese; cover and continue to heat until cheese is melted.
