Christmas Cookie Pops

Cook time: 120 minutes
Serves 24 people

Ingredients

  • 1 puch Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Green food color
  • 12 wooden sticks with rounded ends
  • About 1/2 tun Betty Crocker Rich & Creamy frosting (anything white)
  • Betty Crocker colored sugars or decors
  • Assorted candies (optional)

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix, melted butter, flour and egg until soft dogh forms.

  3. Divide dough in half.

  4. Stir green food color 1 drop at a time into half of dough until desired color.

  5. Roll dough on floured surface until about 1/4 inch thick.

  6. Cut green dough with 3-1/2 to 5 inch Christmas tree cookie cutter; Cut white dough with snowman or snowflake cookie cutter.

  7. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie stheet.

  8. Carefully insert wooden stick in to bottom of each cookie.

  9. Bake 10 to 13 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.

  10. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet then remove to wire rack.

  11. Cool completely, about 30 minutes, then decorate.

  12. DECORATE:

  13. Leave frosting white or stir a few drops of green food color into frosting.

  14. Frost cookies or outline cookie with frosting

  15. Attach candies with small outline of frosting.

  16. Sprinkle with colored sugar.

  17. Flatten large gumdrops and cut into star or hat shape for snowman.
