Grilled fillet of beef

Ingredients

  • 750g beef fillet
  • 175ml red wine
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges

Directions

  1. Trim and season the fillet and put into a bowl. Pour over the wine, cover and leave to marinate for an hour. Turn occasionally.

  2. Preheat a griddle pan to very hot.

  3. Cut the fillet into 1cm slices. Stretch the pieces of meat out to expand, then season. In batches, place the beef slices on the griddle pan to brown on each side. This will take 2-3 minutes. Serve the beef with the borlotti bean salad and lemon.
