Oats and Ragi Rotti

  • 1 cup powdered quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1 cup ragi (nachni / red millet) flour
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 4 to 6 chopped green chillies
  • 1 to 2 finely chopped onions
  • salt to taste
  • oil for cooking

  2. Mix both oats and ragi flour add all the ingridents except oil.

  3. Make a stiff dough otherwise it gets watery because of the onions.

  4. Take a kadai or a griddle smear oil all over

  5. Divide the dough into two portions take one portion and pat it on the kadai till it spreads evenly place the kadai on the stove and after 1 or two miniutes pour oil all around and cook till you get the aroma of fried onions, then gently turn and cook the other side with the help of a spatula serve hot with chutney or curds.
