Soppina Kadalekayi Kosambari

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Soppina Kadalekayi/tender Chik Peas
  • 1 Green Chili
  • 1tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1tbsp Grated fresh Coconut
  • 1tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  2. Coarsely crush Green Chili and Soppina Kadalekayi/tender Chik Peas together manually by using a traditional stone grinder. Remove to a bowl. To this add Coconut, Lemon juice, Salt and mix well. Heat Oil, add Mustard Seeds and when they splutter remove from flame and let it cool. Add this to the Kosambari/salad and mix well. Serve with Roti or Rice.
