Peanut Butter Biscuits

Dog biscouts

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. cornmeal
  • 1/2 c. rolled oats (quaker oats)
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. canola oil
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3 T. peanut butter
  • 2 T. vanilla

Directions

  1. Combine both kinds of flour plus the cornmeal and oats in a large bowl; mix well.

  2. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the water, canola oil, eggs, peanut butter and vanilla.

  3. Mix well to form a dough.

  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to about 1/4-inc thick.

  5. Cut with a dog bone (or other shape) cookie cutter.

  6. Arrange on greased cookie sheets, about 1/4-inch apart.

  7. Re-roll the trimmings.

  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 for 20 minutes.

  9. Turn off the oven and let the biscuits cool and harden for at least 2 hours before storing in a tightly covered container.
