Homemade Chocolate Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. Sugar
  • 1 T. Baking Cocoa
  • 2-1/2 tsp. Cornstarch
  • 1/2 C. Water
  • 2 tsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream

Directions

  1. In a 1 quart microwave-safe dish, combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and water until smooth. Cover and microwave on high for 4 minutes until the mixture boils, stirring twice. Stir in butter and vanilla until blended. Serve warm over ice cream.
