Marvelous Marble Idli

Ingredients

  • Idli Batter - enough for 16 idlis ( one batch)
  • Red Cababge - 1/2 cup chopped.
  • Grated Carrot - 1/2 cup

Directions

  1. Do your Idli batter as your routine procedure.

  2. Saute the Red cabbage in the non stick pan for 2 min. Take it out and let it cool for 1 min.

  3. In the Idli stand place one small scoop in the mold, then add the add some red cabbage on one side. and then add grated carrots on one side (if the mold is in circle shape, add cabbage in semi circle shape and carrot in other semi circle shape), and then place one more scoop on top of the veggies.

  4. Repeat this until all the batter is done.

  5. Steam in Idli in pressure cooker for 7 min.

  6. Once it is cool and take the Idli out, and check out those colorful marble effects on your Idli.
