Grilled Milkfish

Traditional Javanese – must be eaten with sambal

Ingredients

  • 1 cleaned, scaled milkfish, cut into 3 chunks
  • 1t salt
  • 2t garlic fresh
  • 2t ginger fresh
  • 2t coriander ground
  • 2t tumeric ground

Directions

  1. Grind all the ingredients (except the fish) in a mortar and pestle with a little water, to make a thick paste.

  2. Smear over the fish

  3. Marinate 10mins

  4. Grill the fish
