Apple Cider Doughnuts

Ingredients

  • 3 cflour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c apple cider plust more for brushing
  • 1/2 c reduced fat sour cream
  • 2/3 c packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 tsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger peel and grated
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon Sugar
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. at oven 325. Coat 2 doughnut pans with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. In large bowl whisk flour, baking soda and salt. In small bowl, whisk 3/4 c of the apple sider, the sour cream, brown sugar, eggs, butter, ginger and vanilla extract until smooth. Add milk mixture to flour mixture whisk until smooth.

  3. Spoon batter into large resealable plastic bag. Cutt off corner and squeeze batter into prepared indents about 2/3 full. Smooth tops. Bake at 325 for 13-15 min until they spring back when lightly pressed. Cool in pan on rack 3 min.

  4. Cinnamon Sugar…stir granualted sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Carefully remove them from pans and brush tops lightly with additional apple cider. Toss in cinnamon sugar to coat.
