Carmel Corn

Ingredients

  • 5 quart dry popcorn
  • 1 c peanuts
  • 2 c cashews
  • 1c butter
  • 2 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c light karo
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda

Directions

  1. Put popcorn and nuts in large baking pan. (throwaway works great)

  2. saucepan combine butter, brown sugar, karo and salt. Bring to firm boil about 245.

  3. Remove from heat add soda.

  4. Pour over popcorn and nuts. Stir until all are coated.

  5. Bake 1 hour stirring every 15 min.

  6. cool and enjoy.
