Gujrati Kadhi

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp besan
  • 3 cups yogurt
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp chilli-ginger paste
  • 4 curry leaves
  • 2 red chillies broken into half
  • pinch of hing
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • cilantro to garnish
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Whisk the besan ,yogurt and water in a blender so that there are no lumps and keep aside

  2. In a pan add the oil.Once its hot add jeera ,hing,red chillies the chilli ginger paste and fry. Then add the curry leaves and give a quick stir

  3. To this slowly add the whisked mix, sugar and salt and stir well.Let this come to a nice boil (If you want a thicker kadhi you can add more besan. Adjust the thickness as desired)

  4. Garnish with cilantro and server hot with rice or rotis
