Barbecued Chili Beef and Cheddar Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 envelope chili seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 10 kaiser rolle
  • 10 slices cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Place beef roast in 3 1/2 to 4 quart slow cooker. Sprinkle seasoning mix (dry) over beef; drizzle barbecue sauce over all.

  2. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 8 to 10 hours (chili seasoning will appear black when done).

  3. Remove beef from cooker; place on cutting board. Skim fat from top of juices in cooker. Shred beef using 2 forks. Stir shredded beef into juices in cooker.

  4. To serve, fill each roll with 1/2 cup beef and top with cheese.
