Ingredients

  • 4 cups White Wine (Zinfandel or Merlot) or Fruity Red Wine
  • 1 1/4 cups Sugar
  • 12 oz Frozen Unsweetened Mixed Berries
  • 1 cup Orange Juice
  • 3 TBSP Unsweetened Lime Juice
  • 1 cup Grapes, seedless (halved, if large)

Directions

  1. Combine Wine and Sugar in Large Saucepan and bring to boil over high heat. Boil 1 minute. Stir in the Frozen Berries. Remove saucepan from heat and let stand for 30 min.

  2. With a slotted spoon, transfer berries to blender and puree. Set a sieve over the saucepan. Pour the puree through the sieve. Discard seeds. Stir in the orange juice, lime juice, and lemon juice. Pour mixture into a shallow 2 qt baking dish. Tightly cover with foil and freeze overnight. Place grapes on a plate. Tightly cover with foil and freeze overnight.

  3. Cut the sorbet into 1" chunks. Put half the chunks in a food processor and process until creamy but still frozen. Spoon into a freezer container and then repeat with remaining sorbet. Freeze, covered, until hard at least 2 hours or up to one day.

  4. Let the sorbet soften slightly, then scoop evenly into dessert dishes and garnish with frozen grapes.
