Banana French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1lb loaf Italian Bread, cut into 1 1/2" slices
  • 1-2 Bananas, sliced
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2c Milk
  • 1-2TBSP Butter
  • 1-2TBSP Vegetable Oil

Directions

  1. Cut wide deep slice into the top of each piece of bread. Stuff each pocket with 3-4 banana slices.

  2. In a shallow dish or pie plate, whisk together eggs and milk

  3. Dip each bread piece in egg mixture and turn to coat both sides.

  4. Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each slice 4-5 minutes until both sides are golden brown. Serve with butter and maple syrup.
