Chateau Briand

Ingredients

  • 4 TBSP margarine
  • 3/4 TSP salt
  • 1 med. onion
  • 1/2 lb mushrooms
  • 2 C beef bouillon
  • 1 sm. lemon
  • 1/2 C burgundy wine
  • 3 lb. London Broil 2 inch thick.
  • soy sauce, Worcestershire, and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Broil meat until med well done.

  2. Saute onion with margarine, remove from pan.

  3. Add to pan salt, lemon juice, bouillon, and wine heat slowly. Do not boil.

  4. Add onions, mushrooms back to pan.

  5. Add soy sauce, Worcestershire and pepper and boil until thicken to desired.

  6. Slice meat at angle into thin slices.
