Cheese and Bacon Soup

Ingredients

  • 6 strips bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 med onion, chopped
  • 1/2 can chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp flour, heaping
  • 1 1/2 cups potatoes, diced and cooked
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/3 lg box velveeta, cubed
  • 3 cups milk

Directions

  1. Saute bacon, abt 2 min

  2. Add onion and saute until transparent

  3. Shake chicken broth and 1 tbsp flour until blended, set aside.

  4. Add salt, 2 tbsp flour, and garlic powder to the bacon and onion. Stir until well blended.

  5. Add broth mixture till it bubbles.

  6. Add milk and continue stirring until it boils and thickens somewhat.

  7. Add potatoes.

  8. Turn heat down, add cheese, and stir until it just melts.

  9. Serve
