Syrup Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cane syrup
  • 1 cup oil
  • 3 tblsp hot water
  • 3 tsp soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp All spice
  • 6 1/4 cups flour (sifted)

Directions

  1. Mix syrup, oil and hot water. Heat on stove.

  2. Add soda.

  3. Add to all other dry ingredients.

  4. Mix together and roll on floured board.

  5. Cut in rectangles.

  6. Sprinkle with sugar.

  7. Bake 325 degrees for 10-11 minutes.

  8. Let cool on cookie sheet for 5-10 minutes.
