Smoked Sausage with Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg frozen garden vegetable medley
  • 1/3 C chopped onion
  • 1 T canola oil
  • 1/2 C water
  • 1/2 C ketchup
  • 1/4 C cider vinegar
  • 1 T worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T honey
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp hot pepper sauce
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced

Directions

  1. Cook vegetables according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute onion in oil until tender. Stir in the water ketchup, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, honey, mustard, paprika, salt, sugar, pepper and hot pepper sauce. Add sausage. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10-12 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened and sausage is heated through, stirring occasionally and turning sausage once. Serve with the vegetable medley.
