Pecan Chocolate Candies

Ingredients

  • 1 can (5 oz.) evaporated milk
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 C semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-1/2 C crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1-1/2 C chopped pecans, divided

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring milk and sugar to a boil; remove from the heat. Stir in chocolate chps and vanilla until smooth. Add vanilla wafer crumbs and 1/3 C pecans; stir until well combined. Transfer to a bowl. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until set. Shape into 3/4 inch balls. Roll in remaining pecans to coat. Place on waxed paper-line baking sheets. Refrigerate until set.
