Tomato, ham and cheese turnover

Ingredients

  • 375g packet ready-rolled puff pastry
  • 6 slices of ham
  • 2 tbsp fresh pesto
  • 80g Boursin cheese, roughly chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

  1. Open out the pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Overlap the ham slices on one half, then spread with the pesto. Arrange the cheese and tomatoes on top. Brush the pastry edge with the beaten egg, fold over the other half of pastry and seal well. Crimp the edges and make slashes across the top of the pastry. Brush with more egg and bake at 200˚C/fan 180˚C/gas 6 for 20-25 minutes, until risen and golden.
