Multiple Choice Bar Cookies

Kids love making these, they get to choose what goes in it.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk -- (1 can)
  • Column A: Choose ONE of either - - - 1 1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs,
  • 1 1/2 cups Vanilla wafer crumbs, 1 1/2 cups Chocolate wafer crumbs, 1 1/2 cups Animal cracker crumbs, or 1 1/2 cups Sugar cookie crumbs
  • Column B: Choose ONE - - - 2 cups Chocolate chips, 2 cups Butterscotch chips, 2 cups Peanut butter chips, 2 cups Raisins, or 2 cups M&Ms plain chocolate candies
  • Column C : Choose ONE - - - 2 cups Flaked coconut, 2 cups Rice Krispies, 2 1/2 cups Miniature marshmallows, or 2 cups Frosted cornflakes -- (crumbled)
  • Column D: Choose ONE - - - 1 cup Chopped walnuts, 1 cup Chopped pecans, 1 cup Chopped peanuts, or 1 cup Chopped cashews

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F, rack in the middle position.

  2. Evenly sprinkle one ingredient from Column A over the melted butter.

  3. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the crumbs.

  4. Evenly sprinkle one ingredient from Column B on top.

  5. Evenly sprinkle one ingredient from Column C on top of that.

  6. Evenly sprinkle one ingredient from Column D over the very top.

  7. Press everything down with the palms of your hands. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Cool thoroughly on a wire rack and cut into brownie-sized bars.
