Fluffy Quinoa

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cup of water
  • 1 cup and 2 TBSP dry unrinsed quinoa

Directions

  1. Rinse the dry quinoa 2-3 times before cooking. Fill bowl with water and swirl the quinoa. Drain off top of water. Rinse again and again. The water will get less murky after the final rinse.

  2. Place large pot on stove and turn on heat to medium high. Add water and bring to a boil. Add the quinoa and bring the water/quinoa to a boil. Cover the pot with lid. Reduce to a simmer. Walk away for 12-15 minutes.

  3. After 12-15 minutes walk over to stove and turn off heat. Walk away again.

  4. After 5-10 minutes remove the lid to allow steam to gush out.

  5. Fluff quinoa with a fork. :)
