Pecan Pie for a Holiday Crowd

Ingredients

  • Flour, white, 2 cup
  • Butter, unsalted, 1 cup
  • Brown Sugar, .75 cup, packed
  • Egg, fresh, 5 large
  • Brown Sugar, 1 cup, packed
  • Butter, unsalted, .5 cup MELTED
  • Light Corn Syrup, 1.5 cup
  • Salt, .75 tsp
  • Pecans, 1.5 cup, chopped
  • Flour, white, .125 cup

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.

  2. Layer first three ingredients in food processor, Process until resembles cornmeal. Press 3 cups of mixture into greased 13×9 pan, reserving the rest for topping. Bake 15 minutes.

  3. Mix eggs with brown sugar. Add the melted butter and stir. Mix in the corn syrup, salt and chopped pecans. Then add flour and mix thoroughly. Pour over baked crust, then evenly sprinkle the reserved crust mixture on top.

  4. Bake for 30-35 more minutes. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack. Once pan is cool to touch, refrigerate until ready to serve.
