Tuna Burgers

Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 (6 ounce) cans tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
  • lettuce
  • sliced tomato

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine tuna, bread crumbs, celery, mayo, onion, chili sauce,egg, salt and pepper.

  2. Shape into four patties.

  3. Melt butter in a skillet; cook patties for about 4-5 minutes per side or until lightly browned.

  4. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomatoes, if desired.
