Tofu Sisig

Ingredients

  • 2 squares tofu, cut in to really small cubes
  • 2 red onions, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5-6 red chilli peppers, sliced
  • olive oil or canola oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp juice from calamansi/or lemon
  • tabasco sauce to taste
  • 1 tbsp knorr liquid seasoning
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise

Directions

  1. Fry the tofu until a skin starts to form all over.

  2. Increase the heat, and remove some of the oil.

  3. Add the garlic, and half of the onion.

  4. After 2 minutes, add the pepper.

  5. Saute for a few more minutes, then add the vinegar.

  6. Cook for 2 minutes, then add the soy sauce, tabasco, salt & pepper, liquid seasoning, and worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat and mix in the mayo and the rest of the onions.

  7. Serve hot.
