Ingredients

  • pork
  • vinegar, white
  • garam masala
  • tomato paste
  • sweet chili sauce
  • molasses
  • brown sugar
  • red currant jelly
  • Worcester sauce
  • garlic
  • onion powder
  • cinnamon
  • nutmeg
  • coriander
  • cumin
  • oregano
  • probably other things I don't remember; really whatever in the cupboard seems right

Directions

  1. Sprinkle pork all over with garam masala. Marinate over night in a 50-50 mix of water and vinegar.

  2. Cook pork in slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours. Debone, defat after cooking. Reserve marinade

  3. While pork is cooking, mix remaining ingredients together in a pot on the stove, including reserved marinade, in quantities as desired. Simmer until thick.

  4. Remove pork from slow cooker. Debone, defat, pull with fork or hands.

  5. Drain drippings from crockpot. Either mix with sauce directly or in a separate pot with cornstarch and simmer until thick.

  6. Put everything in the crock pot. Cook for a couple of hours on low until done.
