Sweet and Sour Sauce

Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 c. distilled white vinegar
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. tomato paste
  • 8 tsp. cornstarch.

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute.

  2. One note – it’s best to make the cornstarch into a smooth paste with a tbsp or two of the water before you add it to the rest of the ingredients or it will clump.
